I have several applications already installed on the server I intend to use as my mail server. Some of these programs may require the same ports as GMS. When I install GMS on the server, will it alert me if there are any port conflicts?
Answer
GMS will on installation check your server for the presence of other mail server software.
If any are being used, GMS will alert you during the installation process. This will enable you to take the necessary steps to correct the conflict.
GMS can be configured to only bind to the ports it requires on specific IPs, or any of the ports used by GMS can be changed to suit your environment.
