Why when I install to a non-default directory is the default still created and I have no uninstall script?

Question

I installed a fresh copy of 3032 on Redhat. During the install I specified /var/gordano as the install directory.
This resulted in start and stop scripts not being created in /etc/rc.d/init.d and there is no uninstall script created in /var/gordano/mail.

Answer

We have now fixed registry location detection for non-default install directories.

Workaround:

set environment variable ROOTDIR=/var/gordano before running install

Note that in Redhat and SuSe, running

$>set ROOTDIR=/xxx

actually sets the variable

_=ROOTDIR=/xxx

Using the command

$>declare -x ROOTDIR=/xxx

has had more success for me.
