Why are there temp files from GMS Anti-Virus in my temp folder?

Question

When a GMS Anti-Virus update occurs a temporary file (e.g. gxnmaaaa.ntm) gets left
in the temp directory until such time as the GMS Anti-Virus update occurs and the
services are stopped and restarted.

The updated GMS Anti-Virus files are correctly copied to the gordanobincommandwinntintelupdate
directory when the update occurs.

Answer

We have now changed the way GMS Anti-Virus handles the deletion of temp files and these are now cleared.

This does not in any way effect the periodic updates nor the handling of the updates. These will still happen as frequently as you schedule them to happen and services will only be updated when new files are available from our servers.
