Why are dots (.) sometimes lost from messages?

Answer

An error in quoted printable encoding resulted in a . (Char 46) being lost. This only occured in the event that the . appeared as the 77th character in the line to be encoded/decoded.

Quoted printable encoding now correctly encodes/decodes the . no matter where it appears on the line.
