What is a moved account?


When a user’s e-mail address is no longer valid, you can configure GMS Mail to report an error response at the protocol stage so that all messages intended for this account are refused and not accepted.

The error message returned contains the new user’s email address.

If the sending messaging server is working correctly, it should return the email message to the sender indicating the new email address. The sender can then update their address book and forward the message to the new email
