A member of an email distribution list is an entry in the database for that list. This entry consists of a minimum of an email address but may include further information such as the real name of the member, the age of the member, the interests of the member, and so on.
When processing email for onward delivery to the members of the distribution list GMS Communication Server can make use of this information to allow the messages sent to each individual member of the list to be peronalised.
