Answer
A forward is an account option that causes an email messages sent to that
account to be forward to one or more email addresses. The message may be
sent to up to twenty destinations which may be local or outside the server.
Typical uses for forwards include:
- Forwarding email for someone who has left an organisation.
- Duplicating email so that it is delivered to more than one destination
for processing by different systems. - Forwards can be used as part of an "email cleaning" process.
This process uses some MML to remove all the header clauses of the message
and then forwards the resulting message to another destination. This can
remove traces of the sender of the message.
