How does the administrative interface button for checking alarms under GMS > Calendars relate to the ones under GMS Webmail > Preferences – Are they any different?
Answer
The top level function under GMS > Calendars applies to email, SMS, Pager and IM alarms. Email alarms are checked by a server side timed event whereas pop-ups (configured under GMS Webmail > Preferences) are checked as a result of a client side refresh.
The label for "manage calendars – check email alarms" was re written in order to clarify the function.
