Is it possible to use a 12 hour clock (a.m. and p.m.) rather than the default 24 hour clock with calendaring?

Answer

Yes.

We have now added the ability for each user to change the type of clock used in their preferences from the default 24 hour clock to the more user-friendly 12 hour clock. Any user may activate this new option in their GMS Webmail interface under Preferences > General where "Use 24 hour clock" is selected by default.
