Question
How can I backup all the user data and then restore it again without having to type all of the user name and password data into the GMS user’s control panel(cpl) again?
Answer
There are several ways you can do this:
- You can produce a text file containing all the POP accounts by using the "mail -f" command and then reload it using "mail -l". Have a look at the Mail Utilities section of the GMS manual for details.
- You can create a recovery file which contains the complete set up of the system. This file can be used to recover your system at any time in the future.
Note: The control panel has been obsoleted with the arrival of GMS Mail Version 4 and later.
