Answer
Yes the port is fully configurable using the -p command line switch, For example,
sendmail -pn
will set the port to the value n. (replace n with which ever port you would like it to use, if no port is specified the default SMTP port of 25 will be used.
This allows for great flexibility in sending email via this utility especially where non-standard ports are used to move mail from one machine to another.
