Question
I want to set up my own custom SMS gateway in GMS Mobile Gateway, or to change the existing gateway settings. Is this possible, and if so, what do I need to do?
Answer
GMS Mobile Gateway comes pre configured with a number of SMS gateway files, which allow you to use an SMS provider to send messages to mobile phones.
These files can be found in the “Gateways” folder in the root of your GMS installation.
You can add your own gateway file here, which you can then configure the GMS Mobile Gateway to use.
Should you wish to edit the existing gateway settings, you should copy the file, and then save it with a different name, and update the comment in the file. This new file will then appear with the comment you specify as an available gateway in the interface.
It is not advisable to edit an existing file, as any changes you make will be lost when you next upgrade your GMS installation.
