As a security precaution I prefer to run the GMS services as a user rather than under the default system privileges. Previously this has been easy, but in Windows 2003 server I have not been able to do so – why is this?

Windows 2003 server has more advanced security options than previous Windows operating systems.
To run GMS as a user, you will need to ensure that the user which you have configured the GMS services to logon as has read/write/execute permissions on the Gordano folder structure (default is "c:gordano").
In addition to this, for Windows 2003 servers the user must also have permission to access the registry structure for GMS. This is located under the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareInternetshopper
