I have a question regarding domains. I have an installation with 4 domains, where the first i created is the default domain. I now want to remove this domain from my server, will this have any consequenses for my current installation, since the postmaster account on this domain has extended administration rights compared to for example the postmaster account of my second domain?
Or will the postmaster on the second domain inherit these rights?
Answer
The postmaster on the second domain will not automatically inherit the rights of the postaster onthe domain that you wish to delete. Therefore BEFORE you delete the first domain it is imperative that you give a user in one of your other domains full system administration rights.
The simplest method of doing this is by setting up a system administrator profile and assigning it to that user.
Once you have done this the first domain may be safely removed.
