Can I collect from multiple POP accounts and receive email into a single GMSWebMail account?

Question

Yes

Answer

Using this method requires absolutely no change to your existing set up whatsoever. Set up your new server and install GMS Webmail on it. Next from the Users > Add page, add accounts for each user that you want to have access to GMS Webmail.

The GMS Webmail server should be set to post all outgoing mail via your main server, by setting a specific rule under Outgoing > Rules. For instance, if your main server was called MAIL then you would set a rule that looked similar to:

* mail.mydomain.com 25 12

Each of your users once logged on would enter the details of their pop account on the main server under the Server tab on the left of the GMS Webmail screen. They should specify the name for this profile, the address of the POP server and the name and password of their pop account on the main server. Once this is set they can also specify an interval in minutes that the pop account should be checked at.

Users can if they wish, specify multiple pop accounts and these can be on any pop server, a useful method of amalgamating a number of disperse accounts into the one place.
