Can GMS Mail or GMS Webmail authenticate to a MySQL database for user verification?

Answer

GMS can be used to authenticate users against an external mysql database. This is set up using the sqlauthconfig utility found in the /opt/gordano/mail/bin directory if using UNIX as your OS.

ODBC must be set up and available on the machine as GMS will use an ODBC connector to talk to the database.

The database should contain a table with three columns as follows

If the mailbox is not specified then the default in UNIX is to use /opt/gordano/domain/users/username/inbox.mbx
