I have a number of members of my list who do not have paswords set but I would like to enable some security options that require passwords.
How can the list members set their passwords?
Answer
Existing members of a list can change any of the variables associated with their member record by using the Set command. To do this you need to send a message to the address "listname-set@domain.com" containing the appropriate commands. For instance to change the password associated with the member entry you would send the following in the body of the message
MyPassword = selected_password
Each member can of course have their own distinct password.
Use of the Set command is controlled by the settings under GMS Comm > Requests > Set
