How often does GLWebMail check for outstanding alarms?

I’m concerned about missing alarms set in GLWebMail if my refresh period is not frequent enough. How often does GLWebMail refresh to check for timed events and alarms?

Answer

The default refresh period set in GLWebMail is 15 minutes, however the actual refresh period depends on whether the next due alarm is within that refresh period.

Each 15 minutes the service scans ahead over the next 15 minutes and if it finds any outstanding alarms within that period it resets the refresh period "on the fly" so that the alarm runs on time (to the nearest minute).

This means you should not miss any alarms you set on the system, no matter how close together or far apart they are.
