WorkgroupShare Server crashes during synchronization with an Outlook client. The crash happens only with WorkgroupShare version 1 or later versions of WorkgroupShare that have been upgraded from version 1.
The crash is a rare occurrence but once it crashes, it continues to crash when the same user synchronizes again.
The reason for the crash is a bug in the JET driver which occurs only with Access 95 or Access 97 format databases. It occurs when a record containing an attachment of a certain specific size is written to the database.
The crash only happens if the database is Access 95 or 97 format. The resolution is therefore to upgrade the database format to Access 2000 or Access 2002/2003.
