What is alert 8399?

Answer

GMS has attempted to authenticate a user by working through the list of domains provided by the administrator but was unable to. There are several possible reasons why the user could not be authenticated:

  • The Windows Operating System (e.g. NT 3.51, NT 4.0, 2000 or XP) has indicated that the user name/password combination is incorrect;
  • The Windows authentication service was not available;
  • The user does not exist in this Windows domain.

.

In this case, an attempt to authenticate the user Undefined@Undefined resulted in the Windows error code Undefined.

To resolve this error, you will need to contact Microsoft to find out what the error code means and how to resolve it.
