What is alert 8207?

GMS Mail has just received a line from a POP3 client which is too long. This may be caused by

  • A POP3 client that is not Internet Standards compliant;
  • Someone logging into your POP3 server in an attempt to gain access and control of your server.

In this case the line that was too long came from the client at Undefined and GMS Mail responded with

-ERR Line too long

GMS Mail has automatically handled this error and truncated the line so there is no action required by you. You may wish to contact the owner of the client at Undefined to ask them why this error occurred.
