Re-indexing an ASA Database
After performing an OfficeTalk upgrade or re-build, OfficeTalk’s performance can become considerably slower, or it may hang after the logon credentials have been entered.
This can happen when the OfficeTalk ASA database requires re-indexing.
To re-index the database, download the SQLIndexer , then install and run the SQLIndexer from the OfficeTalk menu. Once you click on the Start button, the indexer will go through every table and add the various required indicies.
Please note: this procedure can take some time, depending upon the size of your database. Once the indexing is complete, you will be taken to the Welcome Page again. At this point, click Close.
