Configuring Webmail Pro to collect email from another server

Once you’ve opened Webmail pro, select ‘Preferences’ then on the left hand tree select ‘Servers’ then when the box in the middle of the screen appears click ‘Add’.

Once you’ve hit add, the Add a new POP/IMAP server dialogue will appear. Here, give the profile a useful name and enter the details of the server you are collecting mail from. By default you’ll need the following ports for POP

  • Port 110 – this is the default POP3 non-encrypted port
  • Port 995 – this is the port you need to use if you want to connect using POP3 securely, remember to tick the use SSL box

And these ports for IMAP

  • Port 143 – this is the default IMAP non-encrypted port
  • Port 993 – this is the port you need to use if you want to connect using IMAP securely

But you should confirm these settings with your ISP.   Enter the relevant account details, and choose your settings for Leave mail from server etc.  Once your profile is configured, set how often you wish to check for emails on the servers page
