Question
Will GMS work on the Fedora Core 3 operating system?
Answer
We have not tested this yet but have had reports that it will work. The v5 libstdc++ package must be installed to enable GMS to install and run.
Fedora Core 3 provides v6 of libstdc++
GMS is compiled using v5 of libstdc++
The solution to the problem is to look on the OS installation CD, find a package called "compat-libstdc++????????.rpm" (where the question marks are wild cards) and install it.
Next, before GMS is installed, find out the version of glibc that is running and change the ./install and ./startup files accordingly.
