Why would I use a super-list?

Question

A super-list is a "container" of a number of other lists. When a message is posted to a super-list, a single copy is sent to every member of the lists contained.

Answer

Super-lists are generally used when you want to contact everyone – perhaps an announcement of a new release, upgrade or product.

For example, if you are running three discussion lists and want to make an annoucement to everyone at the same time you could create a super-list which contains each of the discussion lists. When you want to send the annoucement, you send one message to the super-list. GMS Communication Server will combine the lists and ensure that only one copy of the message is sent to each person on the discussion lists (even if they are a member of more than one list).
