Why is SMTP Authentication no longer working after upgrading to build 3509?

Question

Since upgrading to Build 3509 of GMS the option to allow users to authenticate to the SMTP service in order to rely mail is no longer working.

I also see issues with those in the Authenticated IP list not being allowed to relay through the system.

Answer

This will only affect those customers that do not have GMS Anti-Spam enabled on their installations. It is due to an issue with the development of the extensive whitelisting capabilities built into this release of GMS.

Gordano have released a patch for this issue which all customers running Build 3509 that do not have a key for GMS Anti-Spam should apply to there system.
