Why does the WorkgroupMail server output window show so many DNS failures?

Symptoms

The WorkgroupMail Administrator Output window can frequently show DNS errors of the form shown below

2003/07/18 11:57:42 Performing DNS lookup for ‘1.0.168.192.relays.ordb.org’
2003/07/18 11:57:42 DNS lookup for ‘1.0.168.192.relays.ordb.org’ failed!

Detail

These reports can be generated by WorkgroupMail when configured to use a spam server in Spam Filtering. The failure indicates that the spam server failed to find the senders address in its open relay database. For this part of the Spam Filtering process, the message will not be marked as spam and will be received normally.

The report is generated in response to a message being received and checked for spam; it has nothing to do with the sending of mail using DNS. (NB. The report will not appear if no spam server is configured or if Spam Filtering has been disabled).
