Why do I get a warning from GMS Anti-Virus that the update message was invalid?

Question

I keep getting messages telling me that the GMS Anti-Virus update message was invalid. The body of the message contains the text "A GMS Anti-Virus signature file update has failed validation."

Answer

This message indicates that the Passphrase you have entered in the Signature Update page of the GUI does not match the password that Gordano holds against your record.

Please ensure that you have entered the passphrase correctly paying particular attention to the case of the characters entered.

If this does not resolve the issue please contact sales@gordano.com to ensure that you are entering the correct passphrase.
