I am trying to post to a discussion list run on my ISP’s NTList server but my messages don’t seem to get posted.

GMS List Server provides several options to restrict who can post to a list. It is likely that the list administrator has limited who can post to the particular list you refer to. For instance it can be limited to list members only, postings from specified addresses only, or a password may be required. You will need to contact the list administrator to request that you are given access rights to post to this list.
To contact the list administrator, simply add “-owner” to the name of the list. For example, to contact the list administrator of discuss@ntmail.co.uk, email “discuss-owner@ntmail.co.uk”.
