When using webmail, when I try to open certain attachments a window will appear briefly then will disappear, and the attachment does not open. Why is this?
Answer
This behaviour has been confirmed when using the “show attachments as a drop down list” option in GMS Webmail. This is because of a change in the security settings in Internet Explorer 7.
To resolve this, in IE7 go to the following menu:
Tools->Internet Options->Security->Custom Level
then change the option for
“Automatic prompting for file downloads” to “enabled”.
You should then find you have no problems opening attachments.
