Why can I not set access rights for myself in my own folders?

Question

IMAP Access Control Lists (ACLs) povide the option to share folders with other accounts on your server. However I seem to be unable to set Access Rights for myself on my own folders. Why is this?

Answer

Users are always given full implicit access rights to all of their own folders which can not be over ridden. This is so that users can not inadvertently remove all of the rights from their folders and thus make them completely inaccessible not only to themselves but to any other user, including aadministrators.
