Question
While using calendars in GMS Webmail I have the option to grant others access to my private events but simply display them as busy rather than show the actual content of the event. However when the same user views my calendar via MS Outlook they do not see my private events at all.
Why is this?
Answer
The option "Red private as busy" is specific to GMS Webmail. This particular access right is not understood by MS Outlook and therefore the event is simply treated as a private event.
It is therefore simply not displayed to another user accessing my calendar via Outlook.
