Why can I no longer access the GMS Administration pages?

Answer

There are a great many reasons why the interface might not be responding. You should contact Gordano Support if you continue to experience problems after trying these suggestions.

Check to see if the WWW (NTMail Configuration) service is running on that machine through Control Panel > Services.

Also try pointing your browser to the raw IP associated with one of your domains as in: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000 to see if it is a DNS issue. If that doesn’t work and you are on a remote machine, try this technique on the server itself. If both attempts fail, try after rebooting the server.

Another option is to try to telnet to the server in the following manner:

telnet yourserver.domain.com 8000

then enter :

GET /index.mml?SignonProduct=NTMail HTTP/1.1
Accept: */*
Accept-Language: en
Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.01; Windows NT 5.0)
Host: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8000
Connection: Keep-Alive
Now hit the Enter key twice to end the send to the server.

Then you should read the exact error returned by your server. If you
can’t even establish the telnet connection, you have got network and/or
dns related problems.
