When does GMS check the size of an incoming message?

Question

I have GMS Anti-Virus installed on my mail GMS server. Having set a limit
on one domain as "MaxMessageSize=20480", I noticed that
the message is virus scanned before it is rejected for being over that size limit.

Answer

We have now changed the size checks so that the server will reject a message before virus scanning if the message is larger than the limit set for the domain or user it is intended for.

Of course once it has passed the size check, it will still be scanned for any viruses if you have GMS Anti-Virus
