Question

Sometimes when a queue is sending I will get an open folder error similar to that below (the filename always changes and the location is where I have installed my GMS products to):

OpenFolder D:GordanoOutcompany1.domababcbaa (0)

The next time the post service retries the queue, the error seems to have cleared up and mail resumes its normal course.

Answer

After a message had been sent the idx file for that message was being updated with the new status, i.e. the message was being marked as having been sent. The idx however shoudl then have been deleted but it was not. It was left in place and the next time that post read the idx it saw that there were no outstanding addresses to be sent to and so
cleared the idx and mbx from the queue.

This is no longer reported as an error.
