What is the MySql sub-folder within Gordano Base Directory?
From version 7A of Gordano’s products incorporates vCard support and a brand new address book design and added database integration.
All vCard and Address Book information is now held in a database which allows for much superior performance and functionality as compared to earlier address books. Gordano spent a considerable amount of time researching the most appropriate method of including this database functionality, resulting in the selection of MySQL as the database of choice.
Key features for this new version are: – import functions compatible with Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Organiser, Lotus Notes, Netscape and other vCard-compliant address books; multiple user personalities, each with its own vCard; automatic vCard inclusion when composing/replying to messages; automatic decoding of incoming vCards.
All this information is stored in an SQL database which is private to Gordano’s software.
