Developed by Microsoft the Component Object Model (COM) enables programmers to develop objects that can be accessed by any COM-compliant application. Both OLE and ActiveX, for example, are based on COM.
Gordano supplies a COM object as part of the Accessory Pack that can be used from ASP, VB, etc. to control various aspects of the GMS. It also allows email messages to be written and sent from any language supporting COM.
