What is ASCII?

Answer

ASCII originally was the acronym for the American Standard Code for Information Interchange. However, today it is the name of the character set used in computers in the western world.

To represent characters for other languages (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, etc.) UniCode has been designed. GLWebMail supports Chinese, Japanese and Korean by using UniCode.
