What is alert 8208?

Answer

GMS Mail has disconnected from the remote POP3 client because it was sending multiple zero-byte packets. Under normal operation conditions, this should never happen. Some reasons that this might occur include:

  • The Internet connection between client and server was broken (e.g. a modem disconnected, router failed, etc.)
  • There was an error with the client software or computer;
  • There is a problem with the local TCP/IP stack.

In this case, session Undefined was processing a connection from Undefined when the client suddenly started to behave oddly.

To resolve this problem check your Internet connection from client to server and check that the client is operating correctly.
