What is alert 8159?

Answer

GMS has reported an error because the remote POP3 client has issued an AUTH command with a parameter which is too long. It is likely that someone is attempting to find a weakness in GMS in order to gain control of your system.

In this case, session Undefined was processing a command from Undefined. The command

 Undefined

was rejected with

-ERR Invalid Parameter

.

GMS has identified the potential attack and is safe. To resolve this problem you will need to contact the owner of the client at Undefined and find out what they are doing or ask them to use GMS Webmail to get access to their email.
