What is alert 8098?

Answer

GMS Anti-Spam has rejected the a message because there is an invalid header in the message. GMS checked the message for Internet Standards compliance and found that it did not comply so the message has been rejected. This could be an attempt by an attacker to gain control of this system or your internal systems (e.g. Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.) through email. By rejecting the message, GMS protects your organization from malformed or errant messages. Message headers are defined by RFC822.

In this case, session Undefined is processing a connection from Undefined which was processing email apparently from Undefined for Undefined (if there are multiple receipts for the message, this is the first recipient). GMS sent the response

 Undefined

The internal GMS error code is Undefined.

GMS has resolved the issue and there is no immediate requirement to do anything. You may wish to inform the sender of the problem. If so, you will need to identifiy the error associated with Undefined in the list of Internal GMS Error Codes.
