What information do the Gordano porting tools (For Exchange, Netscape, SLMail etc) transfer to GMS?
Answer
They retrieve as many of the settings of the incumbent mail server as possible and write the information into a format that can be imported into GMS products.
This usually includes:
- Domain name, usernames and passwords (some systems encrypt the passwords in this case, the porting tool will create passwords which are the same as the user name);
- Aliases;
- Forwards; and
- Mailbox contents.
