What happens when I report a Zero-Hour false negative?
I can see the option to report a false negative in my “Reported Spam” report in the interface. I know this is used for when the Zero-Hour checks allow through an email which should have been blocked. What happens when I report a false negative?
When you press the “False negative” button, the entire message is transmitted to the online detection center, where it is marked for manual checking.
When the message has been manually checked, if it is confirmed as a false negative, the message status will be updated for all the detection centers, and future copies of the message will be rejected without problems.
