The default Tasks in Outlook are displayed in any calendar using the single day view

Symptoms

When any calendar folder is viewed in the single day view with the taskpad enabled, including those in the Shared Information folder, the taskpad on the right hand side displays the tasks that are in the default system Tasks folder. This can be confusing as the taskpad will display tasks for the current user while the calendar may display data for another user.

Cause

Outlook has a limitation in that the taskpad can only display Tasks from the default system Tasks folder.

Resolution

There is no resolution to this problem. If this causes confusion, disable the taskpad view in the View menu.
