Specific URL's may cause the GMS WWW service to terminate

Question

Specific non standard URL’s sent to the GMS server on the standard HTTP port (port 80) can cause the GMS WWW service to terminate immediately if running on a Windows platform.

Customers running on Linux are similarly affected with the exception that the WWW service does not terminate but rather becomes busy.

Only those customers running the standard HTTP web server included with the GMS software are affected. This server is not enabled in a default install of the software and must be explicitly enabled by the administrator.
