Answer
When a GMS system is upgraded from one version to the next the virus definition files contained in the installation package are applied to the server. As installation packages remain fixed for their lifetime there is the possibility that the virus definition files applied to the server will be older than those in place immediately prior to the upgrade.
To ensure that you are running with the latest virus definition files you should immediately initiate an update manually after completion of the upgrade process. To do this please go to the Administration > GMS Anti-Virus > Scanner > Signature Updates page and click on the "Request Update Now" button. The most recent definition files should arrive shortly thereafter, and your server will be completely up to date.
