OfficeTalk fails to start on Windows Vista

When attempting to open OfficeTalk running under Microsoft Windows Vista an error message is displayed stating it Cannot open the Registry and to open Regedit and Edit the Registry Manually.

This error occurs when User Account Control is enabled in Windows Vista.

Disable User Account Control.

In Windows Vista, open Control Panel and go to User Accounts, click on Turn User Account Control on or off and uncheck the box labelled Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.

Please note that this change may not take effect until the computer has been rebooted.
