I have tested my Spam Filtering and it does not seem to be working.

Symptoms

Spam Filtering has been enabled but local tests suggest that it is not working.

Detail

Spam Filtering is not applied to any message that is received from a trusted host. If your tests involved sending a message from a computer with an IP address that is listed in the trusted hosts page then the Spam Filtering function will have been by-passed and filtering will not take place. If you wish to send a test message from a computer within the local network then first remove its IP address from the list of trusted hosts. If sending a test message from a mail client on the WorkgroupMail server computer then you should also remove the references to localhost and 127.0.0.1. You should also check your senders email address is not listed in the White List or the Black List, unless this is a requirement of your test.

Remember to add these addresses back into the list of trusted hosts when you have finished your testing.
