What would cause the POP service to fail from a client outside our network when it works fine over our LAN?
Answer
If you are running a dual homed server, i.e. the server has 2 nic’s installed in it one for inside and one for outside the network then the POP service will only respond on the IP
that is directly configured against the domain in NTMail.
To work round this problem add the second IP that you want pop to respond on as an alias for the domain in question.
