Since upgrading NTMail we have noticed a gradual increase in memory consumption primarily related to POP3 and SMTP.
Answer
If you are measuring the working set for each of the services it could well be that it will show memory rises.
With working sets if memory is allocated dynamically to them it is not then released back to the system unless the
system requests/requires it, even though these services will no longer require the full amount of memory.
On systemswith a large number of users and a heavy load, the amount of memory required quickly reaches a maximum and does not increase further.
